We will be learning about lots of exciting things over the academic year, including World War II and the Ancient Maya Civilisation in History and the Circulatory System in Science. You can find the overview of all the things we will learn over the year in our long-term plan below. Our latest newsletter can also be found at the bottom of this page.

Have a look at some of the things we have been doing in our lessons this term...
We kick started our Science topic on the human circulatory system with an exciting VR workshop taking us on a journey through our heart, lungs, arteries and veins!

In Science we have been deepening our understanding of electricity which we learnt about in Year 4. We have drawn our own circuits using electrical symbols and investigated how the number of batteries affects the loudness of a buzzer. We then applied our knolwedge to make our own 'operation' style games.

We ended our History topic on WW2 with an immersive theme day where we dressed up, built our own Anderson shelters and had a VE day street party!

To celebrate Remembrance Day, we created blackout poetry using some famous war poems such as In Flanders Fields, For The Fallen and We Shall Keep The Faith.

In PE, 6LG have been doing gymnastics. This week we practised partner balances.
