The swim squad started in 2017 with a view to taking our high ability swimmers to the next level to compete against schools across Wakefield and Yorkshire. 

Trials are held twice a year, taking the fastest children in Front Crawl, Back Crawl, Breaststroke and Butterfly.

Training is held after-school Monday–Thursday at the pool at Sandal. We also run sessions at Normanton on Monday evenings for dive practice from the blocks. 

Over the years, we have had multiple children reach Yorkshire and England level swim times. 

We also attend the English Schools Swimming Association Regional competition and qualified for the National finals in 2022-23.
