Year 6
Welcome to Year 6!
In Year 6, our class teachers are Miss Gouldsbrough, Miss Smethurst, Miss Wells and Miss Young. We will be learning about lots of exciting things over the academic year, including World War II and the Ancient Maya Civilisation in History and the Circulatory System in Science. Have a look at some of the things we have been doing in our lessons this term...
As part of our learning in our Science topic on the human circulatory system, Year 6 took part in an exciting VR workshop - allowing us to explore the system in a way we cannot through our normal Science lessons.
Year 6 had lots of fun on our residential visit to PGL Newby Wiske! We got to take part in lots of exciting activities, including rock climbing, abseiling, a zip line, archery and fencing. Here are some photos of us on the trip!
We had fun visiting Sandal Library over the last few weeks! We spent the afternoon doing arts and crafts, exploring the books on offer and choosing books to bring back to school with us!
In Geography, we have been learning about different biomes. We created lap books to present information about the rainforest biomes. Here is some of our work:
