Head's Welcome

We are proud to provide a happy, caring and safe environment for our children. We work very hard to ensure that our child's experience of school is a positive one, which encourages a love of life long-learning, and togetherness. As our motto states:  Building Stronger Futures Together .

Our recent Ofsted inspection commended our curriculum stating that:’ Leaders have created a curriculum that places reading at the heart of every subject. Staff and pupils have a very clear understanding about how each lesson fits into the bigger picture. Pupils often use their knowledge and understanding from previous years to help them overcome a new learning challenge’.

We pride ourselves on the positive behaviour of our pupils. Our children value their learning and they try hard in lessons. We strongly believe that good behaviour should be celebrated and that occasional, poor behaviour is always challenged and addressed by the Senior Leadership.

Children in our school come from different cultural backgrounds; they have different religions and speak different languages. We celebrate and value this diversity. We encourage our children to be proud of their own culture, religion and language and to show love, respect and tolerance for all, as part of our British and Christian Values.

Our incredible staff team and Governing Body have high aspirations and expectations for each child and endeavour to help every one of them to flourish and reach their full potential. We pride ourselves on our nurturing approach and the special family feel is evident as you walk around our school. Everyone here is valued and respected and has a voice.

A positive partnership with our parents/carers is vital in achieving our aims. Home and school must work together and we need your support and co-operation. In return, we hope you will find our school welcoming, willing to listen and respond to your questions, concerns or suggestions.

With warm regards

Mrs Butterworth
